Free Agency is here. As I am writing this, I have seen Aaron Rodgers' photoshops on four separate teams, and am reading an argument online on how the Seahawks should sign Aaron Rodgers and have him mentor Shedeur Sanders... surely that will go great.

Based on the current landscape of the 2025 NFL free agency class, here are seven players whocould secure bigger contracts than might be expected. These predictions consider factors like positional value, recent production, and age.

  1. Camryn Bynum (S, Minnesota Vikings) - 26 years old

Bynum’s 2024 season cemented his rise as a top young safety, leading Minnesota’s secondary with 96 tackles, 3 INTs, and 65 solo stops (3rd among safeties) on a 14-3 squad. A scheme chameleon—Flores’ 48% blitz rate freed Bynum to roam. His coverage (80.2 grade) and box impact (5 TFLs) shine, though tackling (10.2% miss rate) and zone play (72.1) need polish.

  1. Paulson Adebo (CB, New Orleans Saints) - 26 years old

Paulson Adebo is the most fascinating CB in this class with elite ballskills (7 INTs and 28 PDs in his last 22 games), but has allowed the most rec. yards over the past 4 seasons (2,631). He is a pure man CB with incredible length. In 2024, he had 3 ints and 10 PDs in 7 games before breaking his femur.

  2. Jaylon Moore (LT, San Francisco 49ers) - 27 years old

Moore has spent four seasons as the 49ers’ swing tackle, starting 12 games across 55 appearances. His 2024 campaign—five starts filling in for an injured Williams—turned heads, earning him a career-high 74.9 PFF offensive grade, ranking 27th among 112 qualifying tackles. His pass-blocking (73.1 grade) and run-blocking (70.1 grade) marks placed him in the top 32 at his position

  1. Patrick Mekari (OL, Baltimore Ravens) - 27 Years old

Mekari’s a complete unicorn. In six seasons, He’s played snaps everywhere and started 5 games+ at every position but RG. He isn't a top 10 guy at any position, but provides an elite floor for any OL group.

    Left tackle: 672 snaps

    Left guard: 832

    Center: 683

    Right guard: 272

    Right tackle: 1,206

  1. Ty Johnson (RB, Buffalo Bills) - 27 Years Old

Ty Johnson’s 2024 season showcased his value as an efficient depth back, posting 5.2 yards per carry, 15.8 yards per catch (not a typo), and 5 touchdowns while bolstering Buffalo’s AFC Championship run with clutch plays (e.g., 41-yard TD catch vs. Rams). He is a true 3rd-down back with elite receiving ability and great pass-pro skills.

  1. Malcolm Koonce (DE, Las Vegas Raiders) - 26 Years Old

Malcolm Koonce’s first two seasons (2021-2022) were modest. Logging just 2 sacks in his first 22 games as he and he contributed more on special teams than as a pass rusher. Under interim head coach Antonio Pierce, Koonce’s snap count doubled, and in weeks 9-18 of 2023 he had 38 pressures, 8 sacks and an 83.4 PFF pass-rush grade, which ranked among the top 15. Tragically, a knee injury sustained in practice before Week 1 in 2024 landed him on IR for the entire sesaon.

  1. KhaDarel Hodge (WR, Atlanta Falcons) - 30 Years Old

A deep sleeper for a payday, Hodge, 6'2, 208lbs, is a special teams demon who can be used a blocking asset on offense. In 2024, Hodge was the 2024/25 NFC Pro Bowl recipient for Special Teamers after two blocked punts, a muffed punt recovery for a touchdown in 2024. On Offense, he has a career 15.5 Yards Per Reception, and had 7 receptions for 131 yards.
